Greeting from Corcoran’s SHU (Security Housing Unit). Well, I guess it’s no longer ‘the SHU’ but my God, this place sucks. – Hell. I’ve been in ‘terd’-world country’s that were cleaner and more obliging than this place. But in my believed this just has to be the final test. After 21.7 years within the CDCR. This final leg of my journey has to be a test. This NDF, so far, is working, even though the ‘help’ (the guards) are saying it’ll never WORK – are proven wrong on several occasions. I know after my 21.7 years, I’ve changed my ways and thinking about criminal activity.
Anyway, I just read your March 2020 San Quentin News and a Letter to the Editor done by I. Tatum from Calipatria State Prison. Bro, he is very inspiring. I felt so good reading his LTE. Very good Mr. Tatum. I will take your advice. Do not give up and do not lose hope and the end of his piece! Fight to get out and stop fighting to stay in! Very good advice. Much like the advice of David G., Matt, Jacob and Eugene from ARC. I feel I’ve been re-energized. Thank ya. Okay, I’ll let you go.
Thanks again boys, sincerely,
Larry Lavell
