Greeting to you & yours I was very thankful to come across this story, many things caught my interest, music has healed many wounds of mine, along with other things, but it is my go to thank you for the programs you offer behind these walls, the lives you saved, I honor that, the peace of mind you have given. I’m also a song-writing artist, currently in the middle of my newest song “How I miss The Moon.” Thank you for the Education received, vocal pitch warm-up/breathing exercise. My wish is to sing it to the women of my dreams, ”The Shooting Star I Am, Dancing For The Moon I Love.” I hope this fine you well, keep up the good work.

SQ News in Nevada
Dear SQ News:
We are big fans of SQN!! I used to get issues last year, and would share them with everyone in my unit. It’s the best news of prison topics anywhere and the descriptions of prison life, programs, and people are a great example that what happens in Nevada isn’t the norm. How can I get new issues?? Please let me know how to get back on the subscription list.

SQNews Inspires Others
Dear SQ News:
To whom it may concern…
I would like to receive the latest edition of the San Quentin News by mail and or any other material that you provide it would be highly appreciative. I’ve been lucky to see one or two News Papers and really. Like the information and stories you guy provide I’ve been coming in and out of juvenile detentions, jails, prisons for 30 years now and it really makes me feel good to see a prison have programs that you guys have.”

SQ’s Kid-Cat draws CSP interest
Dear SQ News:
My name is Miguel Buenrostros, I’m currently incarcerated at C.S.P. Solano. I’ve been incarcerated since 2008, doing a 15 to life sentence. On October 5th ,2021, I went to my first parole suitability hearing, and I got a five year denial. The Board recommended me to take various self-help groups such as Kid-Cat. But in the institution where I currently am we don’t have that specific class. I’ve been reading a lot of the articles from the SQ. Thank you for your time and God bless you.

SQ & Modesto
Hey there SQ.! Well I am currently in County Jail in Modesto CA, about an hour away from the Q. I was there in Badger section in 2016-the first and only time I’ve ever been to Quentin. It wasn’t all that bad of an experience, I was there for 90 days until I got sent to Avenal. I am asking if you could please send me a free copy of the San Quentin News to me so I can share it with my cellie here in county jail. You all at San Quentin and very inspiring and I pray for all your “cutting edge” info that helps us incarcerated in California.

Hopes for SQ Gazebos to Lancaster
Dear Editor of the “Q”:
The news is at its best when you capture the aura of San Quentin and the innovative programming across the Golden State, my regards to you & your staff for printing excellence and up to date articles. You Bro are tomorrows news! I wanted to comment on the Gazebo article. And the great idea you have given me to hit-up the newest Director for some much-needed cover here in Lancaster from the Santa Ana Winds that really kick up dust. The well-needed Gazebos on A –facility will fit right in on the yard. And one more thing, “Congratulations” on the writing award, and the accolades. That is all, Stay up can be healthier. Respectfully Submitted.

SQNews Strengthens Edovo
Dear SQ News: I came across your News Letter after finding it on the Edovo app on my tablet. It offers editions 146-161 and I have read them all more than once and have shared them with other inmates to read. Each edition is well thought out and a joy to read. I’ve seen in the 161 edition that I could receive the latest edition by sending in a letter, well here is my request. I know I’m not the only one in here that would love to read a new edition. Thank you in advance from all of us.
