California Reentry Program’s First Successful Fund raiser

January 1, 2011 by San Quentin News Staff

SAN FRANCISCO — A reentry program dedicated to assisting parolees held a silent auction that raised enough money to cover its expenses for a month.
This first fundraiser by the California Reentry Program was held in San Francisco recently.
Executive Director Allyson West said, “The fundraiser was great. I’d say about 60 people showed up, many of them new donors, which expanded our mailing list considerably.”
The donors were entertained by a guitarist and a performance by the Pacific Boys Choir.
“We are very excited about our next event, perhaps in summer 2011”, said West.
