Words from the wise, quote of the month – “I believe that you see something that you want to get done, you cannot give up, and you cannot give in.” – John Lewis (1940 – July 17, 2020) was an American politician and civil rights leader who served in the United States House of Representatives from 1987 until his death in 2020. Lewis also helped organized the 1963 March on Washington. He fulfilled many key roles in the civil rights movement and its actions to end legalized racial segregation in the US.
What do you think of this week’s quote? Can you relate? What is something in your life (your freedom, your family, making a change, an education, a job) that you want to get done, and you will not give up or give in? “I believe that you see something that you want to get done, you cannot give up, and you cannot give in.”
